Groups for Those who Struggle with Food, Weight, & Body Image:
Body Image Therapy
10 session series for women who want to develop a more loving relationship with their bodies. Includes art activities, journaling, guided imageries, homework, and lively discussions. $45/session, insurance accepted. Thursdays 6 – 7:30 p.m. starting January 5, 2017
Creating a Healthy Relationship with Food
6 sessions. Learn concrete and specific tools to end emotional eating and begin creating a healthier relationship with food. $35/session or $175 for series. Morning timeslot starting mid January 2017.
Adolescent DBT Skills Group
Certified DBT specialist, Tara Stewart, LMHC leads this open, ongoing group for teens who are struggling with emotion regulation, depression, anxiety, self-harming, and/or risk-taking behaviors. Sundays 12 – 1:30 starting April 30. $45/session self pay only. Initial prescreening session required.
Adolescent Therapeutic Art Workshop Series
6-session series starting Sunday April 2. 1:30 – 3. Led by MSW student intern Jacqueline Villalobos. Exploring such topics as personal values & goals, self-esteem/identity, relationships, self-care, and more. Each session includes a relaxation exercise, art project, and opportunity to process & discuss. $5/session or $25 for the package of 6 sessions.
Test Anxiety Class
2-session group led by Jacqueline Villalobos, MSW student intern. Group members will learn and experience tools & relaxation exercises designed to help reduce test anxiety. Wednesdays April 5 and 12 from 3 – 3:45. $10 for the two classes. Individual sessions also available ($15/session)
